My buddy Dee Dee, I remember her as a straight talking, conservative and simple person. It seems like she wanted to be known as an authority figure and help others in any way possible. She loved to watch "Judge Judy" and most times she would talk like a judge. We met on Facebook where she told me her birthday is coming up in March. after talking to her for awhile she said she never had a birthday dinner (yeah right). I told her since I'm gong to take a vacation to the Big Island I would take her to dinner for her BD. She enjoyed that day and appreciated lunch, dinner and a few cocktails. Actually I enjoyed her company more than she enjoyed having dinner. Dee is such a simple person that when I was going somewhere/anywhere she would be ready in 5 minutes, no makeup and slipped on shorts, shirt and a bag if she was going shopping. She didn't walk much at all, except when she went shopping. She never got tired? She loved to help people when she could, within her limits. Example: she met a person that was bedridden through her friends that provided health care services for pay. She decided to take over his finances because he was over budget. Dee took away his credit and debit cards because he would order things multiple times and didn't realize he had a big stock of the same item. She made him call/text her to request an item that he wanted to order. If his budget allowed she would order for him. While other people was getting paid for their services she didn't ask for any pay, she helped him from her HEART. I remember one year she went on a trip to Oahu for a family gathering and stayed at Koolina for a few days, but didn't have very much spending money. When the person that she was helping found out he gave her a birthday present of $100. Yes she took the gift and enjoyed her trip even more. One of her latest challenges was to get her Drivers License that expired a few years ago because of health issues. That was a challenge because she didn't know anybody on the B.I. that had the time and car to refresh her driving skills and take her drivers test. She even tried to take a drivers course but they only accepted students in school (amazing)? But later met a friend that could take her driving, every day. Dee enjoyed every minute of driving again.
