Delfin Ganancial Obituary
Delfin “Del” Ganancial, 84, of Mililani, Hawaii, passed away peacefully at home on April 1, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.
Del was born on May 29, 1940, in Hamakua on the Big Island of Hawaii, to Mariano and Augusta Ganancial. He graduated from Kailua High School in the Class of 1958, and soon after, he proudly joined the United States Air Force. Over the course of 28 years of dedicated service, Del rose to the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. Following his military retirement, he continued to serve his country through his work with the Department of Defense, where he remained for another 24 years.
Del is survived by his beloved wife, Eileen “Nina”; his children, Leilani Bennett (John) and Kenneth “Ken” Ganancial (Rea); five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his loving mother, Augusta Mederios.
His presence will be deeply missed, but his love, strength, and quiet humor live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
Military Honors Memorial Services will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025, promptly at 11:00 a.m. at the Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe.
