He was born in Kunkle, Pennsylvania. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and Director of Operations and Maintenance for Pan American World Airways and Director of Property and Facilities for Hawaiian Airlines.
He is survived by wife Lonnie Pepper Shupp; sons Martin H. Shupp, Michael P. Shupp; daughter Monique E. Shupp; sister Marion Weaver; 5 grandchildren.
