In Loving Memory of Derrick Gordon Arreola-Anduha
November 1st, 1968 – October 29th, 2023
Derrick Gordon Anduha was born on November 1, 1968 at Tripler General Hospital, Honolulu, Hawaii to Douglas and Vera Anduha. He grew up in Wahiawa Heights with brothers Duane, Darien, Darrel and Devin. Derrick is remembered as a remarkable individual, known for his unwavering kindness, strength, and dedication to his family.
Throughout his life, Derrick touched the lives of countless people with his warm heart, generous spirit, and infectious sense of humor. He had a special gift for bringing joy and laughter to those around him, and his enduring positivity was a source of inspiration to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Derrick was a dedicated patriot who served his country with honor and distinction. He proudly served in the armed forces, and his unwavering commitment led him to see combat, where he demonstrated remarkable courage in the face of adversity. His service to our nation will be remembered as a symbol of selfless dedication to the principles of freedom and justice.
Derrick was also a passionate sports enthusiast who found great joy in athletics. He not only played various sports with incredible skill and enthusiasm but also gave back to the community by coaching and mentoring young athletes. His dedication to sports and fitness served as an inspiration to many, instilling a love for the game and the importance of discipline and teamwork.
Derrick is survived by his loving wife, Johanne, his children Kekoa, Kanoe, Keanu, Nikki, Noelani and Nicholas, by his brothers, Duane (Annette), Darien (Urai), Darrel and Devin (Kerry). He is reunited in Heaven with parents Douglas and Vera Anduha.
Derrick may be gone from our physical world, but his love, laughter, and enduring spirit will live on in the hearts of all those he touched.
Rest in peace, dear Derrick, you are dearly missed.
A Celebration of life Service will be held on Saturday, Janurary 27, 2024 at Mililani Mauka Chapel. Visitation begins at 5:30 pm; and service 6:30 pm. Private burial.
