Before he became an employee of LY&S, Dexter was an adversary. He was a tough claim adjustor at Island Insurance, and we locked horns on several cases. But he was always civil, and gave me good reasons for his (low--in my opinion) offers, and would also listen to my arguments. My memory is a bit fuzzy, but I think we always came to an amicable settlement, because I respected his knowledge and his arguments about the value of my cases.I was happy when John hired him, as he brought a wealth of knowledge with him to our firm. I was often at his office, asking him for his take on some problem I had with some of my cases. Dexter was a good guy. But he was much more than that.. He dealt with his disability as though it didn't exist.I missed him being at the office when he decided to work from home, and I miss him all the more now.
