Today is the 1year anniversary from when we lost our beloved mom. And for a time it felt as though our lives had ended. We truly never learned what the words ‘I miss you’ were until she was no longer here to hold on to.Her loss has taught me many things, far more than what people think they know. Days turned into weeks, then months and now a year, but it doesn’t feel like it. She’s still here, smiling, laughing and enjoying our time together without her, as if she never left. These are the treasured memories we have that keep her present in our lives. It’s what keeps us going. Mom, I hope you know how much you meant to us.
