Donald Taisuke Koga's Obituary
With deep sadness, we share that our beloved dad and grandpa,
Donald Taisuke Koga, passed away on March 16, 2026. He was 89 years old.
A proud graduate of Waialua High School’s class of 1954, Donald served in the US Army for nearly three years and then enjoyed a tenured career as a cash register repairman for NCR Corporation. After retiring in 1994, he continued working in various roles at Haleiwa Supermarket until its closure in 2009.
Donald enjoyed many hobbies over the years, including travel, golf, and karaoke.
Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Carol and son-in-law Mark Higa. Donald is survived by his children Donna Au (David), Lynne Higa, and Thomas Koga (Irene); grandchildren Danielle Yasunaga (Chase), Scott Higa (Aoi), Matthew Higa, Dominique Au, Eric Koga and Alexis Koga; sister Barbara Koga; sisters-in-law Josephine Koga and Inez Koga.
We will celebrate his life on Sunday, July 12, 2026 at Mililani Mortuary, Mauka Chapel. Visitation at 9:30 am; services at 10:30 am. Private burial.
