DONNA MAE LEINA'ALA MEHAU AH LO
On December 15, 2018, Donna Mae, beloved wife and a woman of great generosity, passed at the age of 81.
Born in Hilo, Hawai'i, she was a proud graduate of the Kamehameha Schools class of 1955. She and her husband of 62 years, Earl Ah Lo, Sr., settled in 'Aiea, O'ahu, raising their children and fostering her love for family. After many years of service at Hawaiian Airlines, she began a new chapter in her life caring for her mo'opuna. A lover of Hawaiian music, hula, and being surrounded by loved ones, she will always be remembered for her compassion and selflessness.
Donna Mae is survived by husband Earl Ah Lo, Sr. Sons: Earl Ah Lo, Jr. (Lani Girl) and Lyle Ah Lo (Keith). Daughters: Roxanne Ah Lo-Batten (Larry), and Marlene Kamakawiwo'ole. Grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandsons. Numerous cousins, nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents Peter Mehau and Elizabeth Kaili Mehau.
A celebration of life will be held at Mililani Memorial Park & Mortuary, Mauka Chapel on Sunday, February 17, 2019. Visitation will be at 9:30am, services at 10:30am with lunch to follow.
An additional celebration will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Dodo Mortuary in Wainaku, Hilo, Hawai'i. Visitation will be at 8:30am and services at 9:30am. She will be laid to rest at the Veteran's 2 Cemetery at 12:00pm.
