Doreen Haunani Millare's Obituary
Doreen Haunani Millare, age 62, of Kekaha, Kaua‘i, peacefully passed away on September 20, 2025. Born in Waimea, Kaua‘i, Doreen was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend whose strength, warmth, and love touched the lives of many.
She is preceded in death by her mother Beverly (Akuna) Kahalioumi, father Kanani Alika Lancaster, stepfather Dickson Kahalioumi, stepmother Anita (Abadilla) Lancaster, half-sister Audrey Akuna, granddaughter Brielle Constantino, grandsons Mana Sanchez and Huaka‘i Puu, and stepbrother Frank Abadilla Jr.
Doreen is survived by her spouse, Wayne Millare, and her six children: Maxine (Kenneth) Kiyabu of O‘ahu, Roxana (Keola) Puu of Maui, Moana Constantino of O‘ahu, Luana (Chris) Constantino of Hawaiʻi Island, Darrel (Suzy) Constantino of Hawaiʻi Island, and Tiana Constantino of Kauaʻi.
She is also survived by 27 grandchildren and one step great-grandson, who were the light of her life.
Doreen's legacy continues through her siblings: Michael Lancaster Sr. of Hawai‘i Island; Bernard Lancaster, Naomi (Terence) Wakuta, Stephanie Iwai and Ermine Akuna of Kaua‘i; the Kahalioumi ‘ohana: Kensworth, Keenan (Pua), and Kristen (Tara) of Hawaiʻi Island; the Abadilla ‘ohana: April (Mark), Phillip (Jean), George (Gwen), Faustino (Tawnya), Samantha (James), and Nephi (Denise) of Hawaiʻi Island; Kiehm Kahalioumi of Las Vegas and Sam (Tanya) Abadilla of Oregon.
She will also be lovingly remembered by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
Doreen’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all who were blessed to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
Services will be held at Salt Pond Beach Park, Kauaʻi on Saturday, December 27, 2025.
