Dorothy Gladwin
(1932 – 2024)
Dorothy Gladwin passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at the age of 92. A devoted and loving mother, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Frederick (1977), and her son, Ian (2003). Dorothy is survived by her two daughters, Hazel (Gerald) Guerrero and Dawn (Graeme) McIntosh; and seven cherished grandsons: John Gladwin Jr., William Gladwin, Jamie (Charlie) McIntosh, Nevis (Gail) Guerrero, Nigel (Sammie) Guerrero, Mark McIntosh, and Neil (Yurie) Guerrero.
Born in Newark, New Jersey, Dorothy moved to Scotland with her family at the age of 2. In 1985, she emigrated to Hawaii, where she lived a full and meaningful life in Mililani. Though a heart attack in 2012 limited her mobility, Dorothy's strong spirit and unwavering faith as a Jehovah's Witness sustained her through life’s challenges. Her deep faith, kind heart, and love for her family will always be remembered.
A Memorial Service will be held in her honor at the Mililani Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, located at 239 Pali'i Street, Mililani, HI 96789, on Saturday, December 28, 2024. Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m., followed by the service at 1:00 p.m.
Dorothy will be deeply missed by her family and friends. We love you, Mum, and your memory will forever remain in our hearts.
