Eduardo E. Islao's Obituary
Eduardo Islao Obituary
It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of Eduardo Encarnascion Islao at aged 68. He passed away on August 24, 2024, in Wahiawa, Hawaii.
Born on October 5, 1955 to Trinidad Yatar Islao (deceased) and Felomina Encarnascion Islao (deceased). He came to Hawaii in August 1987 for the hope of a better life for his family. He provided for his family who were all living in the Philippines until August 1994 when his loving wife joined him, followed by his 3 children in April 1996. He dedicated much of his life to the Dole Plantation Company, contributing significantly to his community.
He was a devout attendee of Our Lady of Sorrows Chapel and St. John Apostle & Evangelist Church, where he participated actively in community services.
He was known for his friendliness, kindness, strong-will, rigorous work ethic and fashion style. He was a peacemaker, often found mediating disputes and offering sage advice within his family and his friends. He was the epitome of what it means to understand that “it is more blessed to give than to receive” Acts 20:35. His generosity knew no bounds. It extended beyond his immediate circle, impacting many who had the pleasure of knowing him.
During his free time, he enjoyed friendly wagers, watching basketball and boxing, and singing, which brought joy not only to him, but also to those around him. He came to learn that traveling brought him the most bliss in life. To travel and experience new things from different places with his love ones was what he longed for during his final days.
His favorite song lyrics that we will remember him by:
Dikanton malipatan, kuna toy pusok,
Uray no awan kad toy dennak ti tunggal aldaw.
Uray pay no tawenen iti naglabasen, dimonton kunaen a malipatanka ingga't tungpal tanem.
Kanayon ang addaa kaniak ti impadulinmo nga ayat, Isu nga impaaymo a pagbiagak,
Uray no maysaakto payen a nalamiis a bagkay, Dimonton kunaen a malipatanka ingga't tungpal tanem.
