(Oyama), sons, David (Diane) and Wesley (Robyn); daughters, Lynette Serrao (Jonathan), Janice Tengan (Rodney); 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and sister Violet Yim. His greatest joy was his family; watching his children and grandchildren attend and graduate from college, taking them on many trips to the Mainland, and providing a wonderful and happy life for them. His great enjoyment was working in the yard, growing fruits and vegetables, serving as the “first Chinese” AJA President of ‘Aiea, and loved singing and joking while he emceed many parties. An Army Veteran, he worked at Hickam AFB as a machine shop supervisor for 38 years and after his retirement, he went to work for the C&C of Honolulu at Mililani Park. We will miss our husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather for his generosity, kindness, thoughtfulness, wonderful sense of humor and loving nature.
