Edward Kong, Jr. Obituary
Edward H. Kong, Jr., 92, of Waipahu, Hawaii passed away in Honolulu on January 16, 2021. A veteran of the Korean War, he worked for the Federal Government first as a pest controller and later as a sanitation supervisor. He was pre-deceased by his wife Joyce, his brother Edom Y.L. Kong, and his sister Elesward Yamashiro. He is survived by son Brian Kong, daughter Verna Kong, sister Elsie Iwatani, nieces, and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in memory of Mr. Kong be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or to the ASPCA. A Celebration of Life (memorial) will be held for Mr. Kong at a later time.
