Elaine Haalilio Pahio, 88 of Honolulu, Hawaii passed away on July 14, 2023 with her family by her side. She was born in Hawi, North Kohala on October 16, 1934 to Robert and Violet Amayer (Kalaau).
She graduated from Kohala High School in 1952 and later moved to Oahu where she retired as a State of Hawaii employee in the Department of Land and Natural Resources, as Land Abstractor VI in the Land Management Division. In 2014, Elaine returned home after living 12 years in Denver, Colorado. She loved to read, play the guitar, sing local favorites and regale people with interesting stories. She surrounded herself with many pets she personally rescued and found deep comfort in their presence.
Preceded in death by her eldest daughter, DaLaine K. Townley, Elaine is survived by son Kelly K. Pahio (Sophia), daughter, Elaine K. Pahio, grandson, Kahekili U. Pahio, sister, Winona Pavo (Roy Noda) and a multitude of loving family including Iwikauikaua Midbrod, Taylore Arcalas, Symantha Arcalas and Blayze Simon. Private Services to be held.
