Eleanor Veronica "Ronnie" Kuni Obituary
Eleanor Veronica "Ronnie" Kuni, age 80, a cherished individual gained her wings on July 19, 2024. She suddenly passed away at Queens Medical Center surrounded by family and friends. Ronnie lived a life filled with tremendous passion and service towards others.
She was a Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, sister and friend.
She is survived by her husband, Daniel Kalani Kuni, Sr., her children, Daniel Kalani Kuni, Jr., (Erica), Rachelle Mahealani Kee (Patrick), David Anthony Kinilau (Stacy), Korilynn Kalenakailani Hawn, Daniel Kealiiokamalu Kuni (Selina) and Kevin Kala Kuni (Desiree); 29 Grandchildren and 9 Great-Grandchildren; She also shared her life and love with 4 Sisters, Pat Brown, Sandy Smith, Doreen Nelson (Paul) and Debbie Glivar.
She was born to Nicholas and Eleanor Andrade on April 15, 1944 in Honolulu, Hawaii. She graduated from Waipahu High School, ran for Miss Leeward Oahu, was an avid Hula Dancer and later retired from Construction Engineering Labs where she had worked 20+ years. Upon retiring, she moved from Mililani, Hawaii to Las Vegas, Nevada which she called home for the past 14 years. Her home was always open for everyone to gather. She was very welcoming and loved to be around people. Ronnie has also hanai'd many of her children's friends. She would rather see you safe, warm and fed than on the streets trying to survive. She was well-known for making the most delicious Classic Margaritas and Li Hing Mui Margaritas which she perfected over the years. She enjoyed making and sharing it every chance she had.
We ask that you please come celebrate with us as we gather to honor, share memories and reflections on Ronnie's remarkable life on Saturday, September 28, 2024 from 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm at "Open Lot" on Paalaa Uka Pupukea Road, Helemano.
As Ronnie prioritized finding joy in life and sharing it with others, the family asks that you do the same. Go out and do something that brings you real joy and share it with those around you.
