We lived next door to Aunty Girlie. She was like a second mother to us. I will long remember her generous spirit. And how she loved to cook and feed us. Shed call us on the phone at 6am, Hurry up you kids if you wanna eat breakfast. She taught us how to make patellas and malasadas. And her Easter bread with the hidden egg was something we always waited for. She had a servants heart. Whatever she had it was yours if you needed it. And she was always ready to lend a hand. Aunty Girlie, you will be sorely missed. But I know I will see you again in heaven. Thank you for influencing my life for the better. Aloha, Davelyn Gerhart
