Elsie Lin Oi Chung Mau's Obituary
Elsie Lin Oi Chung Mau, 93, of Pearl City, Hawaii passed away on September 9, 2025 surrounded by her loving family , Elsie was born on November 16, 1931 to Lam Moy and Ellen Chung and raised in Liliha. She was a proud graduate of Farrington High school, class of 1949. There she met her husband of 68 years, Gilbert (Choc) Mau.
Elsie spent the majority of her career in the travel industry and traveled the world. Her favorite place was Las Vegas. She enjoyed the food, meeting up with friends and trying her luck at video poker.
Her passion was cheering on University of Hawaii sports. She was a huge fan of the men's volleyball team.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert and daughter, Dawna Ota. She is survived by sons, Gordon (Penny Yanagisawa), Kevin, daughter, Brenna (Jay) Walters and son in-law Eric Enjada. Grandchildren, Darren (Amber) Ota, Travis Ota, Collin Walters, Conner Walters, Erin Mau, Jessi (Bryson Martin) and Crystal Lee. Five great grandchildren.
Celebration of life service, Monday November 24, 2025. Mililani Memorial Park Makai Chapel. Visitation 10:00 am; service 11:00 am. Burial 1:30 pm.
