Elwin Sumio Matsumoto's Obituary
Elwin S. Matsumoto, 72, of Waialua, passed away on June 3, 2026.
Born and raised on Oʻahu, Elwin spent his early childhood in Kawailoa before his family moved to Haleʻiwa. After serving honorably in the U.S. Army, he settled in Washington State, where he lived for 48 years. He retired from The Boeing Company before returning home to Waialua with his wife, Sharryl.
He is survived by his mother, Gladys; wife, Sharryl; sons, Collin (Kristine) and Aaron; granddaughter, Kaitlyn Grace; sisters, Carol Iwamoto and Lynette Leong; and brother, Jay. He was preceded in death by his father, James.
Services will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026 at Mililani Mortuary Mauka Chapel
