Emiliana Antonio Dumlao's Obituary
A faithful wife, devoted mother, and compassionate grandmother, Emiliana was the embodiment of grit, grace and sacrificial love.
On Good Friday of this year, she passed away from this life into the next.
Emiliana was born in Bacood, Santa Mesa, Manila, on January 05, 1933, to Felix Suson Antonio and Gavina De Guzman Antonio. She was the ninth of ten children, and the first to graduate from college and come to the United States. After receiving her degree from Manila's National Teachers College, she began her calling as a teacher. In 1969, she was named the Most Outstanding Teacher in Pineda Elementary School, and later, became a beloved preschool teacher and director at Amy's Preschool in Honolulu, later known as Love a Keiki Learning Center.
She married Eugenio Maggay Dumlao in 1968.
Emiliana is survived by her brother, Francisco, her sister, Antonia, her only child, Jamesner Antonio Dumlao (Jennie) and her grandchildren, Anthony James and Mary Teresa Dumlao.
Services will be held at the Co-Cathedral of St. Theresa on May 20: Visitation 10:00 am, Mass 11:00 am and burial at Valley of the Temples at 3:00 pm.
