Emily Kuulei Mamane's Obituary
Emily "Lup" Kuulei Mamane, 76, was born on Oahu, Hawaii on June 29, 1949, to parents David & Matilda Keamo and hanai parents Emily & Jack Mamane. Emily was number 14 of the 16 Keamo children, and the baby sister of Andrew Mamane. In her early years she was raised in Hauula by her hanai parents. After her hanai parents passed at a young age, Emily lived in Palolo Valley with her uncle and then moved back to Hauula. At the age of 13 years old, Emily returned to her parents David & Matilda Keamo in Waianae Valley. She gave her life to the Lord in 1984 and rededicated her life to him in 2014. Emily was a proud mother of her 3 children, Sautia "Sam" (K-Cel) Mamane-Tapeni, Jack "Puu" Tapeni, and Inchon (Aja) Jima. After having all her children and working at Tamura, the welfare offices in Nanakuli and Kapolei, Emily received her GED from Waipahu Adult Ed and went on to received credits from Leeward Community College Waianae Moku. From there she was able to work within the educational system at a preschool and at Maili Bible as an educational assistant. Although she had many experiences and accomplishments her pride and joy were all 19 of her grandchildren, T'Gen-Dahling Mamane-Tapeni, Royal Mamane-Tapeni, Reign Mamane-Tapeni, John Tapeni, and Sean Tapeni, Jacelyn Tapeni, Jeremiah Tapeni, Samson Tapeni, Judges Tapeni, Maiyoko Jima, Clanny (Kailee) Jima, Yumi Jima, Charity-Grace Jima, Dennis Jima, Elijah Jima, Abraham Jima (proceeded), Josiah Jima, Brian Jima, Charity-Joy Jima, as well as her 4 great grandchildren, Jalinta Daniel, Julius Daniel, Anaki Kai Kattil, and Shane Jima. She is also survived by her brother, George (Alberta) Keamo and sisters Matilda "Ui" (Babe) Kahoonei, and Inchon Keamo. Emily returned peacefully home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 12th, 2026, at her son's home (Sam) in Makaha Oahu.
Visitation will begin at 9:00am in the Mililani Mortuary Mauka Chapel followed by a Service at 10:00am. Burial at 1:30pm in the Mililani Memorial Park Cemetery.
