Enrique V. Alvarez 91, died on September 29, 2019. He was born on July 15, 1928 in Davao City, Philippines. Before immigrating to the U.S.A. He was a College graduate from Mindanao College and a Commercial radio operator for DXGS Broadcasting Network in General Santos, Philippines.
A resident of Ewa Beach since 1971, he provided for his loving family by working for the City and County of Honolulu Department of Transportation - Highway Division. He also worked part time as a security guard for Global Securities. In his youth he was an inspiring body builder and an avid boxing fan. He never ceased to enrich his mind by reading and faithfully watching Documentaries. He enjoyed going to the shooting range as a hobby and spending time with his family especially with his grandchildren. His loyal and caring ways will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife Felisa Alvarez, 3 sons - Miguel, Leo and Marvin "Joey" (Cynthia Cano) Alvarez, 2 brothers - Francisco and Felicisimo Alvarez, 2 sisters - Solidad Tan and Dulzura Salvatierra, 3 grandchildren - Kristina, Gabriel and Alyssa Alvarez, 2 Half siblings Emmanuel "Manny" and Agustin "Stan" Alvarez.
Wake service: Wednesday, October 30 2019, at Mililani Mortuary (Makai Chapel)
Public viewing: 5:30pm and Prayer service 6:30pm
Funeral Service: Thursday, October 31, 2019, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 91-1004 North Rd. Ewa Beach. Viewing 9:00am - 9:30am. Mass 9:30am - 10:30am.
Internment service 11:00am at Mililani Cemetery Section W.
