Eugene lived a life defined by kindness, love, and a truly free-spirited nature that touched
everyone fortunate enough to know him. He was known as one of the most warmhearted
and lovable people you could ever meet, always bringing comfort, laughter, and a
welcoming presence to family, friends, and community members alike.
He dedicated many years to hard work and service, beginning his career with Toledo
Dairy from 1972 to 1990, and later ending his work with Grace Pacific. Eugene was also a proud member of the Local 3 Operating Engineers Union for 36 years. Beyond his
professional life, his faith was an important part of who he was. He faithfully served in
many callings within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, offering his time,
compassion, and support to others.
Above all, Eugene was most proud of his family — his children, grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren — who were the greatest joys of his life. His legacy of love, strength, and
generosity will continue through them and through all whose lives he touched.
Funeral services will be held on March 14, 2026, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints, 85-574 Plantation Road, Waiʻanae, Hawaiʻi 96792. Family viewing will begin at 8:00 a.m., followed by public viewing from 8:45 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., with services from10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Mililani Mortuary.
Eugene will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his gentle heart, unwavering love for his family, and the kindness he shared with everyone he met.
