Felicitas G. de Guzman of Kapolei, Hawaii passed away on March 9, 2025. She was born in Rosario, Cavite, Philippines to Ramon Gonzaga, CMM, USN and Fidela Sales on March 21, 1935. She attended the Philippine Women’s University and the University of Santo Tomas. She was recruited in August 1955 for her Federal position at the U.S. Naval Station, Subic Bay. Later, she accepted a job transfer to the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard where she retired as a Supervisory Personnel Staffing Specialist.
Fely had received many honorary and monetary awards throughout her 40 years of creditable service both at Subic Bay and Pearl Harbor. Prior to her retirement, she was honored as Federal Manager of the Year at Pearl Harbor.
She is preceded in death by her husband Jose A. de Guzman, Jr. She was survived by four children: Enrico (Roxanne) DeGuzman; Eugene DeGuzman, Evelyn (Duane) Ching, and Edmond De Guzman; four grandchildren, Alexander Joseph “AJ”, Chelsea (Jake), Dalton (Cynthia) and Madison (Dylan); and three great grandchildren, Kai, Dakotah, and Michael. She is also survived by her brothers Rosauro (Marcela Espiritu) and Rogelio (Nina Abadilla) and preceded in death by brother Ricardo Gonzaga and sister-in-law Suellen Sanez.
Private services were held at Mililani Memorial Park & Mortuary.
