Filomeno Ballaran Lumauag, 95, of Waipahu, Hawaii, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on September 2, 2024.
He was born on August 1, 1929 in the Philippines. After he graduated with his Bachelor of Science Degree, he joined the United States Navy. While he was stationed in Hawaii, he met his beautiful wife, Carmelita. When he received an honorable discharge, they opened Mabuhay Café and Restaurant in Honolulu. They both retired after almost 50 years in the restaurant business. Filomeno was a very hard worker and lived a very blessed life. He is survived by his wife, Carmelita Lumauag; sons, Lionel Lumauag (Petra) and Rudy Lumauag (Salve); daughter, Agnes Lumauag; 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren.
