Frances Fernandez Iaea's Obituary
Frances Iaea Obituary
"Frances Fernandez Iaea went home to be with our lord and savior on December 18, 2019. She was 78 years young. Born on June 21, 1941 to Elizabeth Kahana and Edward Fernandez. She was the youngest of 4 children. Preceded in death by both parents and her siblings. Brothers Edward and William Fernandez and sister Dolores (Fernandez) Hui Hui. She is survived by her son's Randy (Stephanie) Iaea, Arnold (Francine) Iaea. Daughter's Naydine Wilson, Gaeta Graziano. Also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She grew up in Manoa, Hawaii. Worked a variety of jobs. Her most enjoyable job was driving bus. She worked for Leeward bus company, Gomes Bus company, and MTL. Eventually she moved to the big island of Hawaii where she continued to drive bus. She drove for Hele On, Robert's and finally Akita Enterprise where she retired. She enjoyed her passengers young and old. She loved the big island.
Her hobbies were playing the ukulele and jamming with her son's and grandchildren. Playing the keyboard was another. And she loved to go fishing. Another hobby was crocheting. I remember when she made hat's out of yarn and beer cans.
I like to describe mom as a firecracker. She was a small lady full of spunk. Piss her off and bang!! You'd wish you hadn't. She was tough. Not scared of anyone. Said whatever was on her mind. You either accepted it or as she'd say "the hell with you." She will truly be missed. Love you Mom.
Services for mom are pending due to Covid 19."
