Francisco P. Corpuz, 71 years old of Mililani, Hawaii, and Los Angeles, California passed away on February 12, 2024. Francisco P. Corpuz was born on April 25, 1952, in Laoag, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. He graduated from Ilocos Norte National High School in 1969. He went on to attend the University of the Philippines, where he graduated in BS Business Economics in 1974 and Master of Public Administration in 1978. In 1975, Francisco married Precious Fe Pascua, and had their first child Charles in the Philippines. Francisco worked in the Philippine Coconut Authority, until he and son Charles immigrated to the US in 1979 to join wife Precious in Hawaii. Francisco started a career in the Hawaii State government in 1980, rising through the ranks of the Hawaii Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, and retiring as Chief of Research and Statistics and Director of Labor Market Information in 2012. Hawaii was home for over 34 years, where he welcomed a second child, Cherish who was born in 1994, about 19 years apart from her older brother Charles. The Corpuz Ohana moved to California in 2013, when Precious retired from Hawaii Kaiser Permanente, to be closer to our children and grandchildren. Francisco was predeceased by parents, Pedro and Visitacion Corpuz, and older sister, Cristina Corpuz Falke. Francisco is survived by wife Precious, children Charles and Cherish, in-laws Rebecca and Yu, grandchildren Kaitlyn, Joshua, and Mia; and siblings: Nellie Corpuz Tumacder, Gloria P. Corpuz, Butch P. Corpuz, Henedine Corpuz Smith, Juliet P. Corpuz, Florence Corpuz Willems, Imee Corpuz Licare, Liester Norman P. Corpuz, and Oliver P. Corpuz. Francisco lived his life to the fullest, surrounded by family, relatives, and friends! Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 26, 5:30-9PM at Mililani Memorial Park Mauka Chapel. Mass will be on Wednesday, March 27, 10-11:30AM at St. John’s Church (95-370 Kuahelani Ave, Mililani) Burial will be on Wednesday, March 27, 12:30PM at Mililani Memorial Park.
