Frank Talamantes Obituary
On Sunday, December 26, 2021, Frank Arthur Talamantes of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, loving husband and father of six children passed away at the age of 91. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints having served as a High Counselor, Executive Secretary, High Priest Group Leader along with other responsibilities but most of all he loved helping people. He served in the United States Air Force for 23 years until he retired as a flight engineer from McChord Air Force base in Washington State. He was raised by his mother, Julia Talamantes and his step-father, Joe Talamantes with his brothers Robert and Edward.
Frank was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Luella Talamantes; stepsons David (Lizabeth) Mackay and Duncan Mackay; parents Julia and Joe Talamantes; and his brothers Robert Talamantes and Edward (Veronica) Talamantes.
He is survived by his sons Frank (Shirley) Talamantes and Charles (Dana) Talamantes; his daughters Adelaide (Larry) O’Donnell and Margaret Talamantes; daughter-in-law Lizabeth Maggini-Mackay; grandchildren Dawn (Robert) Branchfield; Robert (Maeva) Findeisen; Kina (Thomae) Jones; Heather (Benjamin) Stenger; 9 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law Veronica and family.
When he was asked what his hobbies were, he would always respond that it was his family. They were his greatest love. He was a kind, caring person who will be greatly missed!
Services to be held on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at Mililani Memorial Park & Mortuary - Mauka Chapel. Visitation begins at 9:30 AM and Funeral Service at 10:30 AM. Private Burial Service to follow, 1:00 PM at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe.
