Frank Kanalu Waipa, Army Staff Sergeant Retired, 94, of Ewa Beach, Hawaii passed away on April 20, 2022; he was born in Kapaahu on the Big Island of Hawaii. He worked for the City and County of Honolulu Road Division.
He is survived by his wife, Lieselotte M. Waipa; his children Frank (Cheryl) Waipa, Robert (Vickie) Waipa, Leilani (Bobby) Yu, Susan Waipa, Patricia (John Pandrea) Waipa, Anthony Waipa, Michael (Gail Greenfield) Braum; grandchildren Danielle (Liton Dhar) Yu, Chris (Kesha) Waipa, Lance (Cindy) Waipa, Dusti Wells, Jessica (Kevin) Corbett, Jillian (Andrew) Lazzer, Palani (Analyn) Baca, Michael (Tasha Galermo) Baca, Amanda (Kenneth) Dobbs, David Baca, Kai'ili (Aaron) Kahalehoe-Waipa, Keioki Waipa, Kyle-James Waipa, Nicholas Braum, Anthony Waipa, Cherish (Jayden McKenzie) Hall, Andrew Waipa, Luke Bedford, Jeremy Bedford and 27 Great-Grandchildren.
Frank was a wonderful husband and awesome father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Extraordinary" doesn't even begin to describe the kind of person he was. Helping, giving, kind, humble, empathetic, generous, patient, strong, courageous and gracious are just a few of his many qualities. We miss him so much every day. He will always be forever in our hearts.
Burial Service to be held on Thursday, June 23, 2022, 10:30 AM at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl.
