George M. Goya's Obituary
George M. Goya, 73, of Pearl City passed away on June 22, 2026. During his youthhood, George enjoyed surfing at Hau Bush in Ewa Beach. He cherished the memory of those happy and carefree days. Upon graduating from Waipahu High School in 1971, George enlisted in the Air Force. After his discharge, he moved to San Francisco where he worked for his sister Betty and her then husband, Ronnie, at Ronnie’s leather shop. Later, while working as a long-distance truck driver, George met and married Charlotte. They had a son, Justin (who passed away at age 32). George and Charlotte divorced when Justin was about eight years old and eventually George moved back to Hawaii in 1991 where he worked at his father’s and brother’s business, Rainbow Welding and Service. After working there, George worked at various auto shops and started a side business fixing and selling cars. He most recently worked in landscape irrigation.
George is survived by brother, Alvin, sisters, Betty Cianciarulo, Jean (Bob) Bullen, Kathleen “Kats” Gustafson, and Karen (Carl) Nakao, nephews Dante, Nicholas, and Jacob, nieces Annie, Jennifer, Sharnelle, Treanna, and Chaelese, grand-nephews and nieces, and great grandnieces. Private services will be held.
