Geraldine Frances Caravalho's Obituary
Geraldine Frances Caravalho (Fernandes), 83, of Pearl City, Hawaii, passed away on November 28, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, on July 19, 1942, to Enos and Edna (Vause) Fernandes. She grew up in Ewa Beach and graduated from Waipahu High School in 1960. Geri married her husband James, former Honolulu Fire Department Captain, in 1965 and they lived and raised their family in Pearl City. Geri was preceded in death by her husband, James. She is survived by her children, James Jr. (Caroleen), Jennifer Silva (Edward), Jeffrey (Farrah) and her grandchildren: Jaqlyn Cordeira (Kuika), Chase Caravalho, Ilana Silva, Keanu Caravalho and great-grandson Colten Cordeira. She is also survived by her aunt, Edna Silveira of Kailua, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Geraldine was predeceased by her brother Alan Fernandes of Colorado. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Pearl City at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and eulogy at 10:30 a.m. Inurnment will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl.
