Geraldine Hirata Obituary
GERALDINE MIYOKO HIRATA, 86 of Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away on April 20, 2020 in Honolulu. She was born in Waipahu, Hawaii. A graduate of Waipahu High School, Class of 1951, she worked for more than forty years for Matson Navigation Company.
She is survived by sons, Retired Colonel Stacey (Mary Jo), Dr. Greigh (Ginny), and Hugh Hirata; and daughter, Candace (Gary) Tonokawa. Twelve grandchildren: Rosemarie Ugalde, Marcey (Brian) Frutchey, and Dr. Michael (Brian) Hirata; Brandon (Dayna) Hirata, Jason Hirata, Emma (Tobias) Reeuwijk and Elizabeth Hirata; Tyson Tonokawa and Trenton Tonokawa; and Daniel Hirata, Christian Hirata, and Luke Hirata. Six great-grandchildren: Lilliana and Enrique Ugalde; William, Stacey, and Mareyn Frutchey; and Charles Reeuwijk. Two sisters: Dr. Aileen Feldman and Daryl Jean Robertson.
