So many memories that I could never just write one. I was one of his grandchildren that was blessed to spend many days and nights at grandpa school and a VIP member at grandpa’s gym l. A very big influence and role model in my life and although I may have not been the top student or best decision maker he always let me know every chance we had that he loved me and was praying for me. Education, strength and conditioning and FAMILY is the order of importance. He was so strong in everything and had knowledge on everything in and about life. Like a walking dictionary, thesaurus and historian all in one. But he would call that “Superior Intellect.†You can’t be the “Hansomest†yet be a dummy, or for the boys at least you not gonna be a “wimp.†You gotta be book smart and be able to defend yourself against anyone or anything. “No be scared†he and my grandmother would say. Some would of seen grandpas school or grandpas gym as “too much†but he just wanted us to give everything we got in what we were doing. That to know your limits you have to go until you break. But it made us stronger physically and stronger mentally. He had the best intentions in everything he did and had a heart made of something I believe will never be found on earth ever again. I love you gramps thank you for showing me what a real man looks like. A man who’s smart l, strong and loves and protects his family. I’m working on some of it and will make you proud again soon, I promise. I know you’re watching me I can hear you telling me “ Pono Bronson, what you doing? You bettah knock it out.†I am gramps, I am. I miss you everyday. Thank you for pushing me, teaching me and most of all loving me unconditionally. I love you gramps! Love, Pono Bronson aka “the akule king†that catches more akule than you. Just joking we both know I’m the ta’ape master and you’re the akule king. Love you gramps see you when I do.
