Glen H Paxman “Pax” died February 18, 2025, in Queens Hospital, Honolulu, HI, from multiple health issues. He was born July 27, 1941, to Harold and Glida Jense Paxman in American Fork, UT. After high school graduation, he spent 20 years in the U.S. Navy traveling the world. Glen met and married Jacqueline Bourgeois in California, and together they have 2 daughters, Rita and Sonja. He was the owner-operator of the Kuu-Huapala sport fishing boat, where he acquired the name “Capt. Pax” sponsoring tournaments, pleasure cruises, and sport fishing. He loved hanging out at the Yacht Club, visiting with longtime friends, and meeting new ones. He enjoyed racing cars, wagering on horse races, and football games. Above all else, he loved his family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie, his parents, and many close friends. He is survived by his daughters, Rita Paxman and Sonja Simpson, both of Honolulu, Hawaii, granddaughter Samantha Simpson, and sister Jeanne (Phillip Wright) Mesquite, Nevada.
The family would like to thank all of the doctors, medical staff, and dialysis organizations who have given years of exceptional care to Glen. In lieu of flowers, Glen’s family suggests that you might treat your loved ones to dinner, give them a hug, and tell them that you love them. Or you can donate in his name to Wounded Warriors, American Legion, or the Hawaii Kidney Foundation.
Glen’s ashes will be scattered off of Diamond Head. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled for May 10, 2025 in Honolulu (time and location still to be determined).
