I write this with tears remembering all the kindness, generosity and love the Ching family showed Alexandra, Daryl and I. Glenn embodied the true Aloha spirit. Glenn was the resident manager of the building we lived in and the kindest man you could meet. When we first found out Alexandra was going to be born with a cleft palate/cleft lip Glenn and Arlene were one of the first people to ask how they could help. When we began to face challenges in our marriage Glenn and Arlene were there to offer support. Less than a year into our marriage we experienced a suicide attempt from our condo window, Glenn and Arlene were there for us after that terrifying experience. When our condo caught on fire a month after Alexandra was born and our kitchen burned down, Glenn, Arlene, and their children were there to help. When we faced financial hardships, Glenn offered Daryl a position on one of the projects he was developing. If Glenn, Arlene or their boys saw me struggling to get my daughter and the groceries out of the car they insisted on helping no matter how busy they were. There aren’t enough words to express the amount of gratitude and love we have for your family. Arlene, my heart breaks for you and your children. Alexandra and I send our deepest condolences and our love from Cincinnati, Ohio. We will always remember Glenn’s kind smile and his big heart. May he rest in peace.Â
