Glory Agne Ventura's Obituary
Glory Agne (Lampa) Ventura was born in the Salpad Villages in San Nicolas, Pangasinan on May 13, 1960. However, due to a big typhoon season during that time of year, she was not able to leave town to get her birth certificate. Finally, on July 13, 1960 she was officially registered as a citizen of the Philippines. So yes, we did celebrate two birthdays sometimes lol.
Most of her childhood she grew up in the Philippines and eventually moved to the Big Island, HI in her teen years where she graduated at Hilo High School and Hawaii Community College. She also became a US Citizen in 1992. Later throughout the years, she would then raise her two children Christopher and Hope, as a single parent a long side her mother and sister in Waipahu, HI where they spent most of their years and in 2017 moving to Makaha, HI to live with her daughter Hope and her family.
After a two year battle of Triple Negative Breast Cancer and also her mental illness for most her life and final getting a diagnoses of Schizoaffective Disorder in 1996. Our mother, Glory, has finally rested at Hale Nani Nursing Home on 10/12/25 at 10:12AM. The day & night before she was surrounded by her loving family. The morning before she passed, she was covered in love and prayers by so many of you, which has helped her go peacefully into Jesus's loving embrace.
Throughout our childhood my brother & I have witnessed her many struggles with her mental health. Which caused many broken relationships as she would grow up with loved ones who never understood the severity of her mental illness. But it wasn't always that way. When she had her sense of self, she gave it & everyone her all. Living the best life she possibly could, leaving lasting impressions on so many.
She shared a love like no other and she loved even if...
She has left us this scripture as she had passed on 10/12 on 10:12am...
Proverbs 10:12 NIV - Hatred stirs up conflict, but love covers all wrongs.
Come & celebrate her life with our family on November 23 at the Mililani Mauka Chapel. Visitation will be at 5:30PM & service will start at 6:30PM.
Burial will be TBD on Hilo, HI at Homelani Memorial Park where she will lay to rest with her mother Cristina. As we are still trying to collect funds for her burial and here is the link to her goFundMe page (https://gofund.me/51f46f334).
Any donation is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
