I have precious memories of yesterdays when aunty and my mom would make mochi and konbu maki for new years to wish us good luck. They would always laugh about their shared jokes while they were making the food (and the mess!).I loved her chop chae which I could never duplicate. Aunty also introduced me to California baked sushi which I always make especially for potlucks.Aunty helped me move into our 3 bedroom townhouse at Nob Hill then sold us her Kikiula home when Brandon was born in 1978. She also gave me a new set of Corelle dishes which I believe that Brandon and McKenna still have.I remember helping take grandma Yamaki to her chemotherapy appointments in town, then the happier fun times spent in Las Vegas where she and my mom would ante their monies to play slot machines. She was always a luckier winner than my mom. Of I remember correctly, she miscarried a son about the same time as Jackie Kennedy lost hers. She probably was able to reconnect with him after passing. We know she is alright as she is with grandma and grandpa Yamaki.Thank you aunty for all your love and support. May you rest in peace. Love you. Claudia
