Herbert Ceferino Aloha Basug's Obituary
Herbert Ceferino Aloha Basug, 85, of Waipahu, Hawaii, passed away on August 1, 2025 after a courageous battle with mandibular cancer. He was born on May 2, 1940, in Honolulu, Hawaii.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Florence Basug, and daughters, Reynette Barrett (Keith) and Lynele Basug (Brittney); sister, Sharlene Bandalan; 7 grandchildren (Stephanie, KJ, Chanelle, Sean, Lynsey (Mark), Bransyn, Brendyn (Aries); and 8 great grandchildren (Casey, Mason, Ryzalyn, Kyzelyn, Aydalyn, Maddyx and Mia). He was preceded in death by his daughter, Antoinette Lee (Robert) and great granddaughter, Xylyn (Lynsey).
Memorial service will be held on Monday, October 6, 2025, at the Mililani Mortuary Mauka Chapel. Visitation begins at 5:30pm and service at 6:30pm.
Inurnment will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at 10:30 am at the Mililani Memorial Park Cemetery.
