Hilio Raquino, Sr. Obituary
HILIO EMILIO RAQUINO, SR. 101 of Whitmore, Wahiawa, Hawaii, passed away at home on April 1, 2020 in Whitmore. He was born in Ballesteros, Cagayan, Philippines.
He graduated from Lanai High in 1939 as one of the 10 students to be the first graduating class in Lanai City.
In high school, Hilio was very active in various sports in which he received athletic pins, medals, sports letters, and trophies.
He loved music and was part of a band in which he played his tenor saxophone. In his spare time he also played his ukulele and harmonica.
He began employment at Hawaiian Pine Company on January 10, 1941 and worked in various departments. In 1960 he went to school for welding and was a welder until retirement on November 1, 1985.
Hilio was preceeded in death by wife, Olivia L. Raquino. He is survived by sons, Hilio (Ella) Raquino, Jr., Mario (Darlene) Raquino, Dario Raquino; daughters, Estelle (Kenneth) Punley, Lucille Pantorilla, Adelle (Richard) Cabinian, Michelle Villatora, Gabrielle (Carlos) Marcano; 32 grandchildren; 82 great grandchildren; 41 great great grandchildren; 2 great great great grandchildren.
