Honorata Manibog Dela Cruz, age 98, of Waipahu, Hawaii, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.Born on January 18, 1928, in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, Honorata was the beloved daughter of Tomas and Florencia Manibog. She was the youngest of eight children and was preceded in death by her siblings: Amanda Juan, Anatalio Manibog, Micaela Lucas, Crispina Santos, Gracia Domingo, Emiliana Gelacio, and Petrona Manibog.
Honorata was married to the late Silvino Jambaro Dela Cruz of Solsona, Ilocos Norte,
Philippines. Together, they built a loving family founded on hard work, love, and devotion to their family.She is survived by her children: Franklin (Corazon) Dela Cruz, Belma Back (widow of the late Gary Back), Susan (Francisco) Rosario, Jo Sarajina, and Brenda (Edwin) Alcalde. She was a proud and loving “Grandma Lala” to 21 grandchildren and 23 greatgrandchildren. Her family was the greatest joy of her life, and as the matriarch of the family, she took immense pride in watching generations of her family grow and flourish.
Honorata loved to sing and dance. She also loved gardening and caring for a lot of the grandchildren in the family. She will be remembered as everyone’s beloved “Grandma Lala,” known for her strength, kindness, generosity, unwavering faith, and deep love for her family. Her legacy lives on through the values she instilled, the memories she created, and the countless lives she touched throughout her long and meaningful life.
