Honorio Colipano Obituary
Honorio Colipano, 86, of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, passed away on May 1, 2023. He was born on November 21, 1936 in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Honorio was a determined individual that started working at very young age back when he was raised on Oahu. To help make ends meet for the family, his first job was at the age of 10 selling the daily newspaper in Aiea on Kam Hwy near McGrew Point.
In addition, just to stay busy on weekends he also shined shoes at the Pearl Harbor Naval base exchange. Honorio grew up on Oahu , went to Waipahu High School and was later drafted into US Army at 18 years of age. He served his country in the US Army from 1956 to 1961 and left the armed forces with an Honorable Discharge. Soon thereafter he began working as a Carpenter for various home builders on the island.
He and his wife Norma were married on December 20, 1961 and were happily married for over 62 years.
He started his own business and opened N&N General Contracting in 1972. He was a highly successful residential builder that was in operation for 42 years. One of his most notable accomplishments during his career was the home his company built for the 1991 Street of Dreams on Oahu. His motto was “no job was ever too small” and every job would be finished to his perfection.
He loved being surrounded by family, having functions at his home in Ewa Beach and spending weekends with his family at Hau Bush or Mango Road.
Honorio is survived by wife, Norma Colipano; children, Lavern Colipano, Norio (Charlene) Colipano, Maylena (Lloyd) Mundon, Curtis (Irma) Colipano, and Serena Kahananui; siblings, Rose Edulan, Narcissa Blair, Labrina Gallarde, Inocencio Baquiran, and Reminidad Vegas; 15 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and 45 nieces and nephews.
