Iereneo "Bear" Lafua, age 62, of Waianae, Hawaii, passed away peacefully in Honolulu on May 24, 2026. He was born in American Samoa.
Bear was a beloved son, brother, and family member whose presence brought comfort and strength to those who knew him. He will be remembered with love and cherished always by his family and friends.
He is survived by his mother, Liaina Sula; his brothers, Alapati Sula, Alapati Fuaga, and Faleaoga Sula; and his sisters, Folole Gisa, Sau Fuaga, Siva'a Foi, and Lillian Moe.
Bear's memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family.
