ISMAEL "PAPA" CARINO SMITH, 79 of Honolulu passed away on December 21, 2017 in Honolulu. He was born in Baguio City, Philippines. He was a Vietnam War veteran and retired as Petty Officer 1st Class for the U.S. Navy. He is survived by his wife Francisca R. Smith; sons Robert (Deborah) Smith, John (Kimberly) Smith, Christian (Melanie) Smith; daughter Vie Smith; sister Dora Smith Akcerman (Richard); 10 grandchildren.
