James Santoki Obituary
James Yasuo Santoki, 87, of Mililani, went home to be with the Lord on July 18, 2020. The third son of Haruo Harold and Chikako Lillian, he was born and raised in Aiea, Hawaii. He is survived by his wife Dolores “Dee”; they had just celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary. Also survived by son, James K. (Frances), Colleen (Gordon) Smith, Roxanne (John) Abilla, Heather O’Reilly Santoki, sister, Juliet Ueda, many cousins, nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by daughter, Jill-Kristie and granddaughter, Olivia Grace.
Retired Technical Sargeant United States Air Force, Retired Postmaster United States Postal Service, fisher of men and the sea, James served his church family, Calvary Chapel Mililani, for 27 years. He was a pillar in the church and he had a servant’s heart.
James received his ‘Final Salute’ by the U.S. Air Force Base Honor Guard as he was committed with military honors at The National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific on August 11, 2020. In that peaceful resting place the bugler sounded ‘Taps’-all is well, safely rest, God is nigh.
His family and friends gathered online to celebrate his life on Saturday, August 22, 2020. Please visit YouTube.com Calvary Chapel Mililani (James Yasuo Santoki Memorial) to share this special time with his family.
James called Jesus “Savior and Lord”. God calls James “beloved son and friend”. He is missed here on earth but we will see him again in glory!
Jesus said to them, “Follow Me and I will make you fishers of men.” Matthew 4:19
