Jamie Malani Lum's Obituary
Jamie Lum Obituary
Jamie Malani (Naumu) Lum, 76 of Kamuela, was born on January 10, 1946 and was reunited with her Love on September 11, 2022.
She was born to parents Hiram and Malani Naumu. She is the middle of three children. She grew up in Pearl City and graduated from Waipahu High School, Class of 1964.
She met and got married to Bobby Lum on May 14, 1966, and had three children. Kaleo Kealii, Maile Malani, and Robert Wayne Keonaona Lum Jr. She worked for the Navy Exchange for many years before retiring. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and loved her Ward family. After being married for 27 years, and at the young age of 48, she lost her one and only love. She sold her house in Nanakuli and moved to Kamuela on the Big Island with son Ona.
Her heart ached for her love for 28 years and 8 months until her heart could no longer go on. She was admitted to Queens Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii for heart surgery where she later passed. Although we miss her dearly, it brings us comfort knowing she is finally with dad.
She is survived by 3 children, Kaleo (Momi) Lum of Anahola, Maile (Brad) Comilla of Hilo, and Ona (Sheri) Lum of Kamuela; 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; brother Hiram Pililaloha (Dinah) Naumu Jr. of Nevada; many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bobby” Wayne Keonaona Lum Sr.; parents, Hiram Pilialoha Naumu Sr. and Malani Maile (Henderson) Naumu; and sister, Tanya U’ilani (Naumu) Keala.
Services will be held on December 15, 2022 at Mililani Mortuary Mauka Chapel. Visitation begins at 9:00 am and service will start at 10:30 am. Burial to follow at 12:30 pm at Mililani Memorial Park. Aloha attire. Flowers welcome.
