Jane Nakamura Obituary
Passed away on February 7, 2024, at the age of 96. She was born in Puhi, Hawaii, the fourth of seven children.
She is survived by her daughters Jan (James Migita), Wendy (Mitchell Lee), and Faye (Bryan Kimura); grandsons Kevin (Connie Chee), Keith, Brent and Tyler; granddaughter Ashlyn; and great-grandson Connor.
Jane is also survived by her sisters Flora Chie Oshima and Ethel Suzue Tachikawa (Robert) from Oahu.
Jane was a beloved housewife and babysitter for many years. She loved making flower leis and going on walks with her friends in the neighborhood. Jane was an amazing seamstress. She sewed many outfits for family members and friends. She even sewed formal dresses for her daughters. Jane was an avid gardener and loved sharing her home-grown fruits and vegetables and beautiful flowers with others.
Jane was born on November 1, 1927, in Puhi, Kauai to Ryoji Joe Kodama and Sakae Nakae, both deceased. Predeceased are brothers, Hajime Kodama and his wife Helen Ifuku of Oahu, Shoji Kodama of Kauai and sisters Katherine Kuni Kodama and her husband Mitsuru Takaki of Gardena, California and Annie Fukie Kodama and her husband Suemi Okubo of Lihue, Kauai and brother-in-law, Thomas Tsutomu Oshima (Flora Chie Kodama) of Oahu.
