Janice Helen Kehaunani Sligh's Obituary
Janice Helen Kehaunani Sligh (Loo) age 70 of Halawa Heights passed away on September 12, 2025 at home. She was born in Honolulu, a graduate of McKinley HS 1972 and retired as a Guest Service Agent from the Moana Surfrider Hotel.
Predececed in death by parents Herbert C. and Victoria MK Loo, Special Aunt Mrs. Marian Y (Richard) Jackson, and brothers Samuel CK (Julie) and Calvin K Loo. Survived by companion Horace Sligh, daughter Shawna DK Loo, grandson Laird “Bulla” KK Loo-McDaniel and grandaughter Tehani MK Loo-McDaniel. Brother Gary K (Queenie) and sister-in-law Julie Loo, and the children of Colonel and Kelly Harbottle – Queenie (Gary), Davanette, deceased, (Dallas), Piikoi (Debra), Joyce, Lima (Leoni), and Howard, deceased, (Hale). Many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Janice was a member of the Heleconia Pidgin Congregation of Jehovahs Witness.
Celebration of Life on February 6th, 2026 Services will be held at Mililani Mortuary Downtown.
Inurnment will be held on Monday, February 09, 2026 at 9:30 am, Mililani Memorial Park Cemetery.
