Jasimo Cabello, 85 of Whitmore Village (Wahiawa) Hawaii, passed away on August 2, 2022, and he is resting in Jesus Christ and awaiting for the Second Coming. Jasimo was born on June 18, 1937 in Mountain View, Puna of the Big Island. Jasimo was partially raised at Waimea Camp on the North Shore of Oahu. Other names Jasimo went by are: most common Jesse, Gerald, and John/Johnny. He was a proud graduate of Waialua High School Class of 1956, and he also attended Honolulu Community College for work related programs such as for Pearl Harbor Harbor Naval Shipyard. Jasimo retired after a 26-year career as a welder and pipefitter at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard Shop 56. He later took on a second retirement career at Mililani Uka Elementary School for 8 years. Jasimo loved Jesus greatly, and he attended the Wahiawa Seventh-day Adventist Church for weekly Saturday Sabbath services. Among his favorite hobbies are: playing the ukulele, painting, crafting, Japanese style landscaping, vegetable gardening, classic car restoration and car cruises.
He is survived by his wife Rose Cabello, sons Jason Cabello and Jonathan Cabello. Preceded in death by his dad Mariano Montero Cabello, mom Josephina Cabello, sisters Rosita S. Valdez and Luzvismin Barte. He is survived by sisters Narcisa Callejo (Esmenio-deceased), Erlinda Yoshida (Edwin), brothers Abraham Cabello (Wendy) and Daniel Cabello (Susan) and numerous nephews and nieces.
Services will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at the Wahiawa Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1313 California Avenue, Wahiawa. Visitation/viewing begins at 9:00 a.m. Service begins at 10:00 a.m. Lunch will be provided by the family after the service. Casual attire. Jasimo's burial will take place at the Mililani Memorial Park at 1:30 p.m.
