Jean Kisako Honda's Obituary
Jean Honda Obituary
Jean Kisako Honda passed away on June 5, 2025 at the age of 96. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Sadao Honda, and daughter Gail Ann Miyoko Honda (Kipp Martin). She immigrated to the US from Japan as a young child and lived most of her life in Wahiawa, Hawaii. The defining characteristic of Jean Honda was her zest for life and people. She loved to sing and dance to songs like "Chattanooga Choo Choo." She was a total people person and loved being surrounded by friends and family. She was the ultimate office manager making patients feel welcome when she and Sadao had a dental practice in Wahiawa. Later in life she ran a thrift shop at the St. Stephen's Episcopal church in Wahiawa. If a family was too poor to pay for clothing in the thrift shop the price magically got marked down to zero. People always made her happy and in turn she made them happy.
Memorial service is scheduled for Tuesday, August 26, 2025 in the Mauka Chapel in Mililani Memorial Park at 6:30 PM with visitation from 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM and food served in the Social Hall after the Memorial service. In lieu of Koden or flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Wahiawa.
