John was a man who loved life wholeheartedly and lived each day with passion and love for those around him. John's quick wit and tell-it-like-it-is personality made every conversation memorable. He was the Provider of his family — a devoted husband, a proud father, and a loving papa whose greatest joy came from spending time with the people he cherished most. His love for his family was constant, unconditional, and deeply rooted in Jesus Christ.
John had a remarkable gift for music and a soul filled with creativity. He loved expressing himself through song and could often be found playing the trumpet, piano, or guitar. Although the songs John wrote were never shared with the world, they were precious to his family and undoubtedly heard by the Lord. Music was one of the many ways John expressed his love for Jesus and his songs reflected the depth of his heart, faith and spirit.
John's love for sports, especially basketball was extremely evident. He enjoyed the excitement, camaraderie, and fun that sports brought into his life. Whether playing ball at one of his favorite parks with friends, watching with his dad and brothers, or cheering others on, John embraced life with enthusiasm and gratitude.
Above all else, John loved God. His faith was the foundation of his life. He treasured reading the Bible, praying and spending quiet moments with God. His personal relationship with the Lord guided his life and how he loved others. John’s faith gave strength not only to himself but also to those around him, and his example of godly devotion will continue to inspire his family for generations to come.
Though we will miss him immensely, we take comfort in knowing that John is completely healed and in the arms of our Savior. His legacy of love, genuine faith, music, laughter and family will live on forever our hearts.
"For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life". John 3:16
