Jose Visaya Macadangdang's Obituary
Jose Visaya Macadangdang, 92, of Waipahu, Hawaiʻi, entered eternal rest on January 24, 2026.
Born on November 7, 1933, in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. Jose was the sixth of eleven children born to Isaac and Maria Macadangdang. In 1981, he migrated to Honolulu, Hawaiʻi, with his beloved wife, Magdalena, where they built a life together and later retired from Young Laundry.
Jose was preceded in death by his wife, Magdalena, with whom he shared 57 years of marriage. After 14 years apart, Jose is now reunited with his beloved wife.
He is survived by his son, Lito C. Macadangdang (Rachel); daughters, Jelly M. Cacal (Jacinto), Zeny M. Castro (Benedicto), and Gina M. Viloria (Freddie); brother, Calixto Macadangdang; sister, Cresencia Apostol (Marino); six grandchildren; three great‑grandchildren; and one great‑great‑grandchild.
A prayer service will be held on Monday, March 30, 2026, at Mililani Mortuary Mauka Chapel, with visitation beginning at 5:30 p.m. and service at 6:30 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Mililani Mortuary Mauka Chapel, with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. and service at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Mililani Memorial Park Cemetery.
